My wife, Dr. Judith Marlowe, Ph.D and I, Rev. Dr. Bob Marlowe, M.Div., MBA, Ph.D always look into old churches whenever our time and travels allow. We live in Broomfield, Colorado inside an over-55 retirement community, called Anthem Ranch, Colorado, and yesterday, October 1, 2015, we were on a "meandering". We had no where to go and all day to do it in! We are both retired clinical psychotherapists who just love to be out of doors and explore the relatively new environment of Colorado--having moved here from Lexington, Kentucky in 2010. We found the ambiance of St. James to be most welcoming, stately in an old Colonial sort of way and best of all, inviting us pilgrims inside for prayers, reflections, and soul-searching. We are very thankful our ancestors, upon whose shoulders we all stand, had the divine inspiration to build this church and for the residents of Central City to continue to worship God in meaningful ways. God Bless!

Beautiful historical church. The members are warm and welcoming, they are all lovely people. Come early for coffee and donuts. The service is always uplifting and the music is inspirational. Casual dress made me feel right at home. God bless
